Mon atelier de couture : un espace optimisé pour la création
Bienvenue dans mon atelier de couture, un espace entièrement rénové pour allier confort, organisation et créativité. Après des mois de travaux, j’ai repensé chaque détail pour en faire un lieu inspirant et fonctionnel.
Une décoration chaleureuse et lumineuse
J’ai choisi de repeindre les murs en blanc et d’ajouter du papier peint, des corniches et une rosace pour créer une atmosphère à la fois simple et accueillante. Cette décoration épurée me permet de travailler dans un cadre apaisant et lumineux, parfait pour stimuler l’inspiration.
Un grand bureau polyvalent
Pour répondre à mes besoins de travail et de couture, j’ai conçu un bureau à la fois ergonomique et modulable. J’ai opté pour un caisson IVAR de 80 cm de large et 50 cm de profondeur, accompagné d’un pied tréteau MITTBACK pour ajuster la hauteur à 83 cm. L’ensemble est surmonté d’un plateau LAGKAPTEN blanc de 60 x 200 cm, offrant une surface spacieuse idéale pour le patronage et la couture.
Une station couture bien pensée
Derrière moi se trouve mon espace couture, organisé autour de deux sections IVAR avec une table pliante. C’est ici que je range mes machines à coudre :
- Ma Bernette, une machine polyvalente pour les travaux courants,
- Ma Toyota, une véritable « bad-ass » capable de coudre du jean, du cuir et des tissus épais sans difficulté.
J’y stocke également ma Cricut Maker, mes cours de couture, de modélisme et de design accumulés ces deux dernières années, ainsi que du tissu et des accessoires indispensables (comme mon pied à bouton pression rose !).
Une table de découpe pratique
Pour découper mes tissus en toute aisance, j’utilise la table NORDEN à deux rabats. Très lourde à la base, je l’ai équipée de roulettes pour pouvoir la déplacer facilement sans effort.
Un espace de rangement optimisé
À côté, j’ai aménagé :
- Une bibliothèque dédiée à la couture pour garder à portée de main mes livres et magazines spécialisés.
- Un panier à chutes de tissu, parfait pour éviter le gaspillage.
- Une armoire de rangement où mes tissus sont soigneusement stockés dans des boîtes en plastique transparentes, me permettant de visualiser mon stock d’un coup d’œil.
- Un système d’organisation pour mes projets couture en cours, avec une étagère compartimentée fixée à une barre murale pour ne rien oublier.
Un bureau toujours bien rangé
Quand je veux que mon atelier soit impeccable : RIDEAU ! Un simple rideau me permet de masquer l’espace de travail et d’obtenir un bureau net et ordonné.
D’autres aménagements pratiques
De chaque côté de mon bureau, j’ai récupéré une mini-armoire chinée sur Leboncoin, initialement destinée à ma fille mais trop petite pour ses vêtements. Je l’ai repeints en rose et les utilise désormais pour ranger mes tissus.
- Au-dessus : mes bobines de fil, canettes et règles de modélisme.
- En dessous : ma collection de magazines couture.
D’un côté du bureau, mon porte-manteau avec étagère (trouvé chez Action pour une somme dérisoire !) accueille mes encours. À côté, mon mannequin de couture et une étagère IVAR recyclée me permettent de ranger tous mes patrons couture.
Mon coin surjeteuse
Enfin, sur mon petit bureau MICKE, trône ma surjeteuse JUKI MO-1000, achetée chez Coudre & Broder. Une machine remarquable qui ne manque jamais un point, accepte tous types de tissus et, atout majeur, dispose d’un système d’enfilage à air des boucleurs. J’ai longtemps hésité avant de l’acheter, mais c’est un investissement que je ne regrette absolument pas !
À la recherche de la machine parfaite
Si ma surjeteuse est idéale, je ne peux pas en dire autant de ma Bernette B77. Dès que les tissus sont trop fluides ou trop épais, elle peine et les boutonnières ne sont pas nettes. De plus, elle émet un sifflement (le SAV m’a confirmé que toutes les Bernettes ont ce souci à cause de leur lampe). Si vous avez des recommandations pour une machine robuste, silencieuse et capable de gérer tous types de tissus, je suis preneuse de vos conseils !
